LATE DECEMBER OPENING FOR LINDISFARNE CASTLE
Good news for members wishing to persuade visitors to stay in the region after Christmas is that for the first time the National Trust has decided to open Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island from Saturday December 27 to Tuesday December 30 inclusive, from 10.30 am to 3.00 pm.

Let us hope that the experiment pays off for what is one of the most popular National Trust properties in the whole of England and which is one of the two visitor attractions in North Northumberland (the other being, of course, Bamburgh Castle) that are universally recognised as images of this area by the general population.
